(Baonghean) –After the Vinh market fire that caused about 10 billion VND in damage occurred on June 20, agencies, units, social organizations and individuals organized many activities to support small traders affected by the fire. Recently, the leaders of Vinh City Police also visited, encouraged and presented gifts to two families of city police officers who were affected by the fire.
They are the family of Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thanh Dinh, a police officer in Hung Binh ward, and the family of Major Ngo Van Cuong, a police officer in Vinh Tan ward. In the Vinh market fire on June 20, Ngo Van Cuong and his wife, Bui Thi Tuyen, who sells nets and fishing tools at the No. 1 communal house on the east side of Vinh market, were caught in the fire from the stall next door, so all of the family's goods were burned down, causing a loss of nearly 300 million VND. In the same situation, Phan Thanh Dinh and Nguyen Thi Trang's family had a stall selling iron, steel, and agricultural tools. Although these are not flammable items, due to being heated at high temperatures and exposed to water and fire-fighting foam, they rusted and were severely damaged, with an estimated loss of over 500 million VND.
