Whale caught in net

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 14, 2013, Mr. Hoang Van Thong, a fisherman in Hamlet 9B - Dien Thinh - Dien Chau - Nghe An, was fishing near the shore when he saw a baby whale about 1.5m long and weighing about 50kg stranded.

Whales are considered sacred animals by fishermen, so when they catch them, they often release them back into the sea. However, when the whale was caught in the net, it was exhausted. Although the fishermen tried their best to save it, they were unsuccessful. At 3 p.m. the same day, the villagers held a traditional burial for the whale.
