Hospitals are on duty 24/7, ensuring sufficient human resources, medicine, equipment, and means to promptly handle emergency cases and must not refuse or delay any emergency cases during the September 2nd holiday.

To ensure medical work during the National Day holiday on September 2, Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien has sent an official dispatch to the Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and cities to direct the Department of Health and related departments and agencies to strengthen epidemic prevention work. Localities need to prepare adequate means, materials, equipment and human resources to be ready to prevent possible epidemics; assign staff and organize 24/7 on-call duty during the holidays. At the same time, localities need to organize medical examination and treatment well, direct hospitals to be on duty 24/7, ensure enough human resources, medicine, equipment and means to promptly handle emergency cases of traffic accidents, childbirth, food poisoning, and must not refuse or delay any emergency cases. Medical staff at all levels must improve their sense of responsibility and awareness of serving patients, paying special attention to their communication style and caring and gentle behavior.
