Localities and units visit and give gifts on War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27

(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 68th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, on July 23, many units and localities across the province went to offer flowers and incense at martyrs' cemeteries; presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers with the wish "when drinking water, remember its source".

Quy Hop:On the occasion of the 68th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2015), on July 23, comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quy Hop District, Ngan Thi Hong, Head of the District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, together with representatives of the District Fatherland Front and the District Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, visited and presented 5 gifts, each worth 600,000 VND, to policy beneficiaries in Chau Cuong and Chau Quang communes.

In Chau Cuong commune, the delegation visited and presented gifts to 4/4 wounded soldier Nguyen Trong Thuy in Ha Dong hamlet and Mrs. Lo Thi Thuyen in Muong Ham hamlet, the wife of martyr Luong Hong Thuyen who died in 1971 at the Southern front. Next, the delegation went to Chau Cuong commune to visit and present gifts to 4/4 wounded soldier Quan Vi Dung in Phay hamlet, the family of Mrs. Truong Thi Ly, mother of martyr Truong Van Dat, who died in 1985 at the Cambodian border, and to Khanh Quang hamlet to visit and present gifts to Mr. Hoang Khac Duoc, 3/4 wounded soldier.

On this occasion, comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh personally presented 5 gifts to 5 policy families of Chau Cuong and Chau Quang communes with a total value of 2.5 million VND.

Tam Quang Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard):On July 23, Tam Quang Border Guard Station coordinated with the Fatherland Front of Tam Quang commune (Tuong Duong) to present 20 gifts worth 3 million VND to 10 families with revolutionary contributions in 3 border villages (Tung Huong, Tan Huong and Lien Huong) of Tam Quang commune.

Presenting gifts and visiting Mr. Lo Xuan Tien, Secretary of Lien Huong village Party cell, a prestigious person in the locality whose relatives died in the resistance war against America.
