(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 12, Quynh Luu district held a State funeral for General Vo Nguyen Giap - Former member of the Politburo, former Secretary of the Central Military Commission, former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, former Minister of National Defense, former Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnam People's Army.
To commemorate and honor the great contributions, express respect and admiration for General Vo Nguyen Giap - the national hero - the Elder Brother of the Vietnam People's Army, at the ceremony, the district leaders and the children of Quynh Luu hometown came to offer incense sticks before the portrait of the legendary general of the Vietnamese people - who did not spare his blood and bones, sacrificed his whole life for the peace, independence and freedom of the Fatherland, contributing greatly to the building of a prosperous Vietnam like today.

Stemming from the love and infinite sorrow for General Vo Nguyen Giap, starting from 7:30 a.m. on October 12, the leaders of the District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee - Military Command of Thanh Chuong district organized a ceremony to pay tribute to General Vo Nguyen Giap, with the participation of district leaders, military officers and soldiers, a large number of people and youth union members.
