Localities actively launch irrigation projects

(Baonghean.vn) -Every October 16, farmers in Nghe An province enthusiastically join forces to build internal irrigation systems to serve production.

*Morning of October 16,Do Luong districtorganized a ceremony to launch the nationwide campaign to build internal irrigation traffic. Immediately after that, farmers in Van Son, Lam Son, Luu Son, Tru Son communes... simultaneously dug and built roads, dredged canals; ensuring compliance with the plan and volume set forth.

This year's campaign to build irrigation traffic in Do Luong district will take place from October 16, 2017 to December 31, 2017; striving to dig and fill over 141,000 m3 of land on the banks of the fields; dredge nearly 60,000 m3 of canals; clear 233,000 m2 of reeds and bushes; pour 910,000 m3 of gravel to repair roads; pour 1,325 m3 of concrete, 1,325 m3 of masonry stone; repair over 380 bridges and culverts... At the same time, repair 102 large and small pumping stations.

This campaign will create conditions for farmers to proactively irrigate and drain crops in the 2017 winter crop and the 2018 spring crop, reducing damage caused by floods; creating a premise for mechanization of agricultural production in the fields.

The launching ceremony attracted hundreds of cadres, military personnel and students of Que Phong High School to participate. Que Phong District assigned targets and called on all levels of sectors and the masses to mobilize maximum forces to participate with the highest quality and efficiency.

The goal of this year's campaign by Que Phong is to mobilize people to focus on dredging and repairing canals to prepare facilities to serve production well, repair and renovate irrigation works, strengthen drought and flood prevention, and proactively cope with the effects of climate change.

*In Quynh Hoa commune,Quynh Luu districtheld a ceremony to launch the national campaign to build irrigation traffic in 2017.

The whole district strives to complete a volume of 119,089 m3, including embankment construction, internal traffic embankment 50,620 m3, dike repair 8,700 m3, dam system repair 10,400 m3, irrigation canal dredging, drainage canal dredging 29,069 m3, water fern collection, grass cutting and irrigation canal cleaning... The launching time is from October 14 to December 31, 2017.

* HNghia Dan districtSimultaneously organize the launching ceremony of the 2017 national irrigation campaign in 25 communes and towns.

The goal of the campaign is to ensure irrigation for the 2017 winter crop production; striving for an estimated volume of over 1,000 m3.

*This year's launch,Do Luong districtFocus on consolidating canals, digging and building regional and field banks, grading road surfaces to complete the internal traffic and irrigation systems according to the new rural construction program.

The target of Do Luong district is to mobilize 48,000 working days, dredge 59,000m3 of mud, dig and fill over 140,000m3 of land on the banks of the fields, and pour over 900,000m3 of gravel... The requirement is to ensure quality and bring about efficiency.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, farmers and students of Van Son commune organized dredging of the drainage system in the fields.
