Localities organize well activities to encourage young people to join the army.

(Baonghean.vn)– CLocal departments, branches and organizations across Nghe An province are actively organizing visits, giving gifts and encouraging families and 2,900 young men before their departure for military service.

*From February 8 to February 13, 39 communes and towns ofDien Chau districtorganized many rich activities to encourage 280 young people preparing to join the army in 2017, such as: art festival, exchange, meeting, sharing experiences of studying and training in the military environment with soldiers who have completed their military service and returned to their hometown; offering flowers and incense at martyrs' cemeteries, visiting and giving gifts to families and young people before leaving for the army.

This year, the whole district has 280 young men joining the army (achieving 100% of the assigned quantity target); at the same time ensuring the quantity criteria as required by superiors.

*From February 8 to February 11, to promptly encourage 260 young men in the area to prepare for military service, in addition to organizing exciting cultural and artistic activities,Yen Thanh districtorganized gift giving for young men before they left for military service; focusing on young men from poor households and families with preferential policies. Each young man who left for military service was given a gift and a savings book worth from 200,000 VND to 700,000 VND.

This time, the whole Yen Thanh district welcomed 152 young men who had been discharged from the army and returned to their locality and prepared for 260 young men to join the army in units of the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 4, ensuring 100% of the quantity target and ensuring the quality according to the regulations of the superiors. 260 young men of the district have been and are ready to join the army on February 15 to fulfill their civic duty to the country and homeland.

* As a locality that has performed well in military recruitment for many consecutive years, ensuring both quantity and quality of military recruitment, in 2017,Quy Hop districtwas assigned a target of 150 soldiers. In this recruitment, Quy Hop had 400 young men aged 18-25 who were eligible for district-level political review, of which 308 were recruited. Of the total number of new recruits in this batch, more than 70% were ethnic minority children. The quality of the young men enlisting was quite high, with 28% of them having type I health. Type II and III were over 70%. The cultural level was from junior high school and above.

At this time, 100% of the recruited youths have received orders, stabilized their minds, and are ready to leave for military service. Before leaving for military service, the youths are issued military uniforms and receive local gifts worth 500,000 VND/person.
