Localities deploy tasks for the new school year

(Baonghean.vn) - On August 22, localities in the province continued to organize the closing ceremony of the 2014-2015 school year and deploy tasks for the 2015-2016 school year.

*Nghia Dan District:In the 2014-2015 school year, the education sector of Nghia Dan district continued to maintain and improve the quality of universal education, with 23/25 communes and towns meeting the standards of universal preschool education for 5-year-old children, reaching 92%; accelerating the progress of building national standard schools, by the end of the school year there were 7 more schools, bringing the total number of national standard schools to 39, reaching 56.5%; the quality of the spearhead continued to receive investment attention, resulting in 875 excellent students at the district level, 47 excellent students at the provincial level and 12 students winning prizes in provincial intellectual playgrounds, 01 student winning a national prize.

At the closing ceremony, 8 educational groups of Nghia Dan district were awarded the title of "Excellent Labor Collective" by the Provincial People's Committee; 2 groups and 22 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 9 teachers were awarded certificates of merit of "Excellent teachers of the province, primary school level" by the Provincial People's Committee; 43 groups were awarded the title of "Advanced Labor Collective" by the District People's Committee and 190 individuals were awarded the title of "Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level".

The district also organized a ceremony to honor 14 students with high achievements in university entrance exams and 32 students who won prizes in excellent student competitions, and awarded 180 gifts to poor students who overcame difficulties.

* During the past school year, Hung Nguyen districthas invested 30 billion VND to build classrooms and multi-function houses. Up to now, the whole district has 36/61 schools meeting national standards; the rate of mobilizing children to go to school is 100%. The high school graduation rate is 99.3%, the supplementary graduation rate is 100%. The quality of key points has been improved. The whole district has 892 students winning first, second, and third prizes, of which 121 students won first, second, and third prizes at the provincial level and 2 students won national excellent students.

Last school year, the District Association for the Promotion of Education awarded 300 gifts to poor children worth 400 million VND. The District allocated 500 million VND to reward groups, individuals, and students with high scores in their studies and university entrance exams; and excellent students in the province and the country.

On this occasion, many collectives and individuals were awarded by the Department of Education and Training, the Provincial Labor Federation, and the District People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the 2014-2015 school year./.
