Businesses and agencies continue to support flood victims

(Baonghean.vn) - Many corporations and units continue to support people affected by natural disasters and floods in Nghe An.

* Afternoon of October 9, at the Office of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee,Board of Directors of Vietnam Textile and Garment Group VINATEX and Hanoi Textile and Garment Joint Stock Corporation(a member of the Group, with member unit Hoang Thi Loan textile) donated 600 million VND to support flood victims in Nghe An province (of which, Vietnam Textile and Garment Group donated 400 million VND, Hanoi Textile and Garment Corporation donated 200 million VND.

Vietnam Textile and Garment Group donates money to Nghe An province

After hearing the news that the people of the Central region suffered from natural disasters and floods that caused great damage to people and property, the Party Committee - Board of Members of the executive body of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group called on all officers and employees of the Group to support each person with at least one day's salary.

With a nationwide textile system, the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group has 100 member units and more than 120,000 employees, so the amount of money called for support is continuing to be collected. In this period, the Group also supported Ha Tinh province with 300 million VND, and contributed 200 million VND to the Central Enterprise Party Committee to support the Central provinces.

Here, the units asked about the people's recovery situation and to share the difficulties that the people here are suffering, the delegations also presented money and goods in support.

Procuracy representative presents support money

The Central Red Cross Society awarded 250 million VND, of which Quynh Trang commune received 70 million VND, Quynh Thien ward, Mai Hung ward, Quynh Vinh commune received 50 million VND, Quynh Dy ward received 30 million VND. The delegation went to the wards and communes to directly award these amounts.

In addition, the Provincial People's Procuracy donated 10 million VND; the Provincial Karatedo Association donated 200 sets of clothes and 100 sets of textbooks.

* Also on the morning of October 9,Board of Directors of Military Commercial Joint Stock Bankpresented 130 million VND to the Flood Relief Reception Committee of Nghe An province. Previously, on the afternoon of October 8, the delegation presented 70 million VND to support people in Hoang Mai town who suffered damage due to storm No. 10.

Colonel Do Van Hung, Party Secretary, Deputy Director of the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, presented donations to the Provincial Flood Relief Reception Committee.

This is the amount of money donated by officers and employees of the entire Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank system nationwide, equivalent to one day's salary, to support the people of Central Vietnam. During this period, the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank also supported localities affected by storm No. 10 with an amount of 1 billion VND.
