Nghe An Department of Home Affairs organized the handover of a house of gratitude to the family of Ms. Sam Thi Huong, Ban Dan 1, Tien Phong commune, Que Phong district. Witnessing the handover ceremony were Mr. Tran Quoc Chung, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, and leaders of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union.

Mrs. Sam Thi Huong has had a stroke for 5 years now. The family of 5 can only rely on her husband who is in poor health. They have to go hungry one day and have enough the next, so the family still lives in a thatched hut. Every time it rains, the whole family has to go to the neighbor's house for temporary shelter.

Responding to the call of the Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary, the Department of Home Affairs sponsored Tien Phong commune and selected Ms. Huong's family to help. In 2016, the unit called on officials and civil servants to contribute 76 million VND, of which 50 million was allocated to help Ms. Huong build a house.

Also during this working session, the Department of Home Affairs delegation presented 35 gifts including cooking oil, fish sauce, salt, soup, sugar, candy and 10 kg of rice to poor households in Tien Phong commune to encourage families to have a more complete and cozy Tet holiday./.
