Units and localities give gifts to families of policy beneficiaries on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day

(Baonghean.vn) - Towards the 69th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27, units and localities organized visits and gave gifts to people and families with revolutionary contributions.

* In Do Luong,qDuring the two resistance wars against foreign invaders and to protect the Fatherland, Do Luong district had 246 heroic Vietnamese mothers, of which 10 are still alive, nearly 4,100 martyrs, 3,500 war invalids and families with meritorious services to the Fatherland.

Mr. Ngoc Kim Nam, Chairman of the District People's Committee visited and presented gifts to policy families.

Leaders of Do Luong district visited communes and towns to visit and present gifts to families of martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and families with meritorious services to the country.

At the families, the district leaders kindly asked about the health and presented gifts to the relatives of martyrs, wounded soldiers and sick soldiers. At the same time, they expressed deep gratitude to those who sacrificed their blood and bones for the Fatherland to gain independence and freedom for the people.

The program organized the awarding of 20 gifts, each worth 1.5 million VND, including 1 million VND in cash and a fan. The total value of the gifts was 30 million VND.

These are practical and meaningful activities that demonstrate the spirit of gratitude and remembering the source of the young generation, thereby expressing deep feelings and gratitude towards the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland and are activities towards the 69th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27.
