Provincial leaders pay their respects to General Vo Nguyen Giap
(Baonghean.vn)-On the afternoon of October 10, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of the province, along with a large number of cadres, soldiers and people came to burn incense and pay their respects to General Vo Nguyen Giap at the altar set up at the Provincial Military Command.
The delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee was headed by Mr. Tran Hong Chau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council. Accompanying the delegation were: Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Le Xuan Dai, Mr. Thai Van Hang, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Provincial Party Committee Office, and Provincial People's Committee Office.

Here, the provincial leaders respectfully offered incense sticks in memory of General Vo Nguyen Giap's great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party, the nation and the cause of building the Vietnam People's Army, expressing their feelings and boundless sorrow for the passing of the General - the Elder Brother of the Vietnam People's Army.
Also on the afternoon of October 10, delegations from the Nghe An Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Veterans Association, the Vinh City Traffic Police Team, and other agencies and people in the province also came to burn incense in memory of General Vo Nguyen Giap.

Before the incense offering ceremony to commemorate General Vo Nguyen Giap, the provincial leaders and representatives of the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Veterans Association had a quick meeting to agree on a plan to set up an altar for General Vo Nguyen Giap to serve the officers, soldiers and people in the province. After listening to the opinions of the representatives of the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Veterans Association, comrades Tran Hong Chau and Nguyen Xuan Duong agreed to set up a common altar at the headquarters of the Provincial Military Command to serve the agencies, departments, branches, officers, soldiers and people who come to pay their respects to the General.
At the district, city and town levels, altars will be set up at locations under the Provincial Military Command. At the commune, ward and town levels, local authorities will coordinate with the Veterans Association at the grassroots level to set up altars for the General to serve the people to burn incense. According to the general schedule, the memorial service for General Vo Nguyen Giap will last from 4:30 p.m. on October 10 to 6:00 p.m. on October 13. At the altars, condolence books will be arranged for officers, soldiers and people to write their thoughts about the great General.
Previously, Nghe An province established a working delegation led by Provincial Party Secretary Ho Duc Phoc, representing the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An province to go to Hanoi to attend the funeral of General Vo Nguyen Giap.
