How often are land investigation and evaluation activities carried out?. A matter of concern for Mr. Phan Van Hoa (Thanh Chuong, Nghe An).
Reply: Pursuant to Clause 3, Article 52 of the 2024 Land Law, regulations on land investigation and evaluation activities are as follows:
1. Land investigation and evaluation includes:
a) Investigation and assessment of land quality and land potential;
b) Investigation and assessment of land degradation;
c) Investigation and assessment of soil pollution;
d) Monitoring of soil quality, soil degradation, and soil pollution;
d) Land investigation and evaluation by topic.
2. Thematic land investigation and assessment is conducted to investigate and assess land quality, land potential, land degradation, and land pollution for specific land types according to state land management requirements at a specified time.
3. The land investigation and evaluation activities specified in Points a, b and c, Clause 1 of this Article shall be carried out periodically every 5 years. The land investigation and evaluation activities according to the subject specified in Point d, Clause 1 of this Article shall be carried out according to the requirements of serving the task of State management of land.
Thus, land investigation and assessment activities are carried out periodically every 5 years, including: Investigation and assessment of land quality and land potential; Investigation and assessment of land degradation; Investigation and assessment of land pollution;
Thematic land investigation and evaluation activities are carried out according to requirements to serve the task of state land management.
