Army and police forces help people harvest rice
The recent floods caused waterlogging in many places in our province, including Hung Nguyen district, where two communes, Hung Thong and Hung Phuc, were severely flooded. After the rain ended, due to the slow receding of water in the fields, nearly 600 hectares of summer-autumn rice in the two communes were still flooded and at risk of being completely lost if not harvested in time.
(Baonghean.vn) -The recent floods caused waterlogging in many places in our province, including Hung Nguyen district, where two communes, Hung Thong and Hung Phuc, were severely flooded. After the rain ended, due to the slow receding of water in the fields, nearly 600 hectares of summer-autumn rice in the two communes were still flooded and at risk of being completely lost if not harvested in time.
In that situation, Nghe An Police and the Provincial Military Command sent officers and youth union members to Hung Thong and Hung Phuc communes to support people in harvesting rice. Today, more than 100 youth union members of PC 66 Department (Nghe An Police) and nearly 100 youth union members who are soldiers of Regiment 764 (Provincial Military Command) were present in areas that were deeply flooded and had difficult traffic to quickly harvest the heavily flooded rice fields with the people.
Nghe An Newspaper reporters would like to introduce images of military units participating in helping people harvest rice to escape the flood:
