Armed forces pay their respects to General Vo Nguyen Giap
(Baonghean.vn) - SOn October 12, 2013, a delegation of the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 4 led by Major General Vo Van Viet, Party Committee Secretary and Political Commissar of the Military Region; Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Cuong, Deputy Party Committee Secretary and Commander of the Military Region, came to lay wreaths and offer incense to pay respect to General Vo Nguyen Giap in Quang Binh province.
Before that, immediately after the news of the General's death was officially announced, agencies and units in the entire Military Region's Armed Forces had many practical activities such as: Propagating about his life and career; organizing for soldiers to watch movies, read books, newspapers... about General Vo Nguyen Giap to commemorate him. Implementing the Directive of the Central Military Commission, starting from 12:00 on October 11, 2013, all regiments and equivalent units, independent battalions, warehouses, stations, workshops, and islands in the entire Military Region set up altars for officers, soldiers, and people in the area to visit General Vo Nguyen Giap. The Military Commands of districts in the Military Region set up altars and notified local Party committees, authorities, and people to visit General Vo Nguyen Giap.

This morning, 100% of officers and soldiers of 4 agencies and units under the Military Region 4 paid their respects to the General, and at the same time, served the local people to burn incense in memory of General Vo Nguyen Giap.
