MCs and editors who made "mistakes" on TV, causing a "storm" on the internet
Whether intentional or not, these slips of the tongue are lifelong lessons for TV MCs.
Commentator Quoc Khanh
The story of commentator Quoc Khanh unintentionally making fun of Bui Tien Dung's mistake by pretending to call Dang Van Lam to "substitute" has caused a stir in public opinion over the past few days.
Accordingly, in this match, goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung made a mistake that caused U22 Vietnam to be led by U22 Indonesia. At that time, commentator Quoc Khanh pretended to call Dang Van Lam, asking him to fly to the Philippines immediately. Specifically, the male commentator said: "Hello, is that Van Lam? If there is nothing else, can Lam book a ticket to Manila right now? We really need people."
Commentator Quoc Khanh's actions were criticized by many netizens, he was considered tactless, especially for a program broadcast on national television. Amidst the storm of criticism, an anonymous MC defended Commentator Quoc Khanh's actions, saying that it was a rescue to help his teammates when a guest suddenly received a phone call. However, many people were still not satisfied with this explanation.

Commentator Quoc Khanh's "inappropriate" statement about goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung's mistake caused him to receive a lot of criticism from netizens. |
However, this is not the first time Quoc Khanh has received criticism from the public for his "mistake". Previously, at the end of 2018, in an exchange program with Quang Hai - one of the highly rated players at the AFF Cup 2018 - he asked a "tactless" question about whether the fall on the field was real pain or "tactical" pain, surprising many people.

MC Minh Hang - Happy Lunch
At the end of July this year, MC Minh Hang of the show Happy Lunch was also one of the people who received a lot of criticism for her "inappropriate" statements on television.
Accordingly, in the program Happy Lunch with the participation of the couple Jack and K-ICM, the MC asked who was the messiest of the two. Jack and K-ICM's answer was that neither was messy. Immediately after the answer, the female MC commented innocently about the guest, "This is a rare animal that needs to be preserved."

Although K-ICM and Jack both seemed quite comfortable with the comments, netizens thought that as a professional MC, Minh Hang's words were "quite tactless" because they offended others.
Editor Le Binh
As a veteran VTV editor, Editor Le Binh also made a serious mistake. In early 2011, during a live news broadcast hosted by Editor Le Binh, after the connection between the American resident reporter and the guest, the broadcast was returned to Editor. However, due to a technical problem, the images and voices of the guest and the reporter were still displayed on the screen. Annoyed by this incident, Editor Le Binh frowned and blurted out: "These crazy people...".
Immediately, the "slip of the tongue" clip went viral on social media and BTV Le Binh received many comments and criticisms.

Afterwards, BTV Le Binh took responsibility and apologized to the audience for the incident. This is a "valuable" lesson for MCs who host live programs.
MC Le Minh Ngoc
In 2013, when he was a young editor of HTV1, Le Minh Ngoc also made a "slip of the tongue" mistake on television while broadcasting a traffic safety news bulletin. Specifically, after providing information on traffic conditions on the roads during the days of the National Funeral of General Vo Nguyen Giap, he accidentally added: "We should remember to strictly follow traffic laws as well as the direction of the police force, so that we can have a National Funeral Day full of joy and safety."

The unintentional addition became a valuable lesson for the young MC. Afterwards, the male MC himself had to speak up to beg for public sympathy.
MC Yumi Duong
Also in 2013, female MC Yumi Duong first appeared on national television as the MC of the program The Voice. Before that, Yumi Duong was familiar to listeners through her role as a radio announcer. Therefore, the first time on air, the female MC encountered an ironic situation.

Instead of calling for more practical action to share with the flood victims, Yumi innocently asked the audience to "applaud the flood victims". It is worth mentioning that at a time when the whole country was looking towards the people of Central Vietnam - where people and property were suffering from storms and floods, the young MC's statement was immediately attacked and "stoned". Even though Yumi Duong later spoke up to clarify and admit her mistake, it was still difficult to calm public anger.
