Artists practice 'Tao Quan 2015' nearly 10 hours a day

Cong Ly, Tu Long, Xuan Bac, Van Dung... all had to practice the program from 7pm the night before to 4am the next morning.

To prepare for the filming of Tao Quan 2015 in early February this year, the production team had to increase the artists' practice time. Instead of the 6-hour practice schedule, lasting from 10pm the night before to 3am the next morning, the artists started earlier - from 7pm - and could finish after 4am.

With a somewhat tired voice because he had just finished a rehearsal at 4am this morning, singer Minh Quan - who was invited to participate in Tao Quan 2015 - said: "This is not the first time I have played Tao Quan, so I am less surprised and nervous than before. However, I still encounter certain difficulties. I think, for professional actors like Tu Long, Xuan Bac, Quang Thang... learning the lines is the most difficult, while non-professionals like me or Tuan Hung have to learn how to transform into the character and blend into the atmosphere that they create." When asked about his role in the program, he said that the director has not assigned a role yet because the script is constantly changing during the rehearsal process.

The rehearsals were late, so the production team and the artists had to prepare enough food and drinks to ensure their health. During the nearly 10 hours, the actors also took turns napping to have enough energy to work the next morning.

"Despite working late at night, everyone did not seem too tired. The atmosphere of the practice session was not too tense because the members were already familiar with the work and knew each other before. The practice shift was quite flexible. If anyone was busy with personal matters, they could be absent and practice again the next day," Minh Quan added.

Previously, director Do Thanh Hai explained that the reason the crew chose this time to practice was because the end of the year is a busy time for the artists. They can only gather at night.

On his personal page, artist Chi Trung also posted a series of behind-the-scenes photos of the rehearsal for the show Meet at the end of the year - Tao Quan 2015 with the caption "Rehearsing Tao for nearly ten nights, my beauty is this bad". The artist said that in addition to familiar faces, this show also has the participation of Minh Quan, Tuan Hung, Hoai Linh, Chi Tai, Viet Huong and 20 other artists.

Although still in the stage of completing the script and practicing, the program Meeting at the end of the year - Tao Quan 2015 has attracted the attention of the audience. The production crew as well as the actors have to face rumors about the program being banned from performing. Recently, the Department of Performing Arts sent a document requesting the program Tao Quan 2015 to apply for a license. However, director Do Thanh Hai affirmed that the crew will organize production and filming at the headquarters of the Television Station, so the Station's leaders will be responsible without having to go through the Department's approval.
