Speaking to the press, Indian Vice Admiral HCS Bisht said this exercise aims to adjust the coordination between the two forces.
For his part, Japanese Vice Admiral Hideyo Hanamizu expressed satisfaction with the coordination between the two countries' forces and hoped that this exercise in the future would not only be expanded but also go deeper.
This exercise is the second time in three months that a Japanese naval vessel has participated in joint exercises with India. In October 2015, a Japanese Coast Guard vessel participated in Exercise Malabar along with ships and aircraft from the Indian Navy and the US Navy.
