On the afternoon of August 7, gunmen of the Hamas Islamic movement currently controlling the Gaza Strip fired three rockets into southern Israel.
This is the latest attack by Hamas on Israeli territory. However, only one rocket reached the Israeli side and landed in the Kissufim area, about 1km from the border with the Gaza Strip.
No sirens were sounded and there were no damages or casualties from the rocket fire.
Israeli security officers said the remaining two rockets fell in the Gaza Strip, but it was not immediately clear whether they caused any damage or casualties.
The source also said that the rocket attack could have been carried out by a terrorist organization operating independently of the Hamas movement.
Previously, small groups of militants affiliated with the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization often claimed responsibility for such attacks./.
