At 6 a.m., many candidates had already arrived at the exam center at Nghe An Teacher Training College to take the exam. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Long from Thanh Chuong district, who was bringing his son to take the exam at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, couldn't hide his anxiety after hearing the weather forecast predicting hot weather and a long time for the Math exam. "I couldn't sleep all last night because I was worried about my son. Even though I took him for a walk in the square to help him relax, I couldn't rest easy seeing him tossing and turning in the room. I hope everything goes smoothly and the students will do well on the Math exam," Mr. Long confided.

This year, my grandson and I are lucky to have free accommodation, which is quite spacious and the landlord is friendly. Now I just hope my grandson passes the university entrance exam,” Mr. Huy said.

According to our observations, at exam locations such as Vinh University, Nguyen Thuc Hao Library Center, Le Viet Thuat High School, Ha Huy Tap High School, etc., candidates arrived early to take the Math exam. Meanwhile, outside, parents took advantage of the shade under trees and on sidewalks to chat and drink water while waiting for their children. Some confidently believed their children would pass the entrance exam to a top university, but others hoped they would only reach the minimum passing score because their children's academic performance was only average.

The Ministry of Education and Training stated that this year's university entrance exam will prioritize testing fundamental knowledge, application skills, and practical abilities. The content will be within the scope of the current high school curriculum, primarily focusing on grade 12. The exam should not be overly difficult or complex, should not trick candidates, should not go beyond or exceed the high school curriculum, and should not include sections that have been reduced or removed from the curriculum. The exam will include easy sections for average candidates, relatively difficult sections for above-average candidates, and challenging questions for high-achieving candidates to differentiate between them.

In addition, the Ministry will also have different minimum admission scores to create opportunities for students with varying academic abilities and exam scores to enter university.
