Mr. Nguyen Dinh Long in Thanh Chuong district, who was taking his son to take the exam for Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, could not hide his anxiety when he heard the forecast of hot weather and a long time for the Math exam. “I couldn’t sleep all night because I was worried about my son. Even though I took him for a walk in the square to relax, when I got back to the room and saw him tossing and turning, I was still worried. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and my children will do well on the Math exam,” Mr. Long confided.

Candidate Phan Duc Lam excitedly said that before going to Vinh City to take the exam, he was in a good mood, his academic performance was average, and he had registered for a school within his ability, so Lam believed he would pass the university entrance exam because this year there were more opportunities. "Yesterday I slept well, this morning I woke up to eat sticky rice with beans, hopefully the exam questions were within my ability so that candidates could easily earn points," Lam smiled happily before saying goodbye to his father and going into the exam room.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Huy in Do Luong district took his grandson to take the entrance exam to Hanoi University of Industry at Le Loi Secondary School. He also left his rented room quite early, went to the area near the bus station to have breakfast, then the two of them went to the exam school. "This is the third time taking the children to take the exam because their parents have to work for hire in the South. This year, my grandfather and I were lucky to stay in a free, airy, and cheerful house. Now we just hope that our grandchildren will pass the university entrance exam," said Mr. Huy.

According to our records, at examination sites such as Vinh University, Nguyen Thuc Hao Library Center, Le Viet Thuat High School, Ha Huy Tap, etc., candidates also showed up early to take the Math exam. Meanwhile, outside, parents took the opportunity to sit and chat, drink water under the shade of trees, on the sidewalk to wait for their children. Some people confidently believe that their children will pass the entrance exam to a top university, but some also hope that they will only meet the minimum score because their children's academic performance is only average.

The Ministry of Education and Training said that this year's university entrance exam will prioritize basic knowledge, application and practice of candidates. The content of the exam is within the scope of the current high school program, mainly grade 12. The exam must not be too difficult, too complicated, not puzzling for candidates, not going beyond the high school program, not including reduced or cut sections. The exam has easy sections for average candidates to do, relatively difficult sections for good candidates and difficult questions for excellent candidates to classify candidates.

In addition, the Ministry will also have different floor scores to create opportunities for students with different academic abilities and exam scores to enter university.
