Organizations and individuals give gifts to people affected by floods

(Baonghean.vn)- On November 14 and 15, social and charitable organizations gave gifts to people affected by floods in Quy Chau and Anh Son districts.

*In Quy Chau district, the "Understanding the Heart" Fund in collaboration with the Nghe An Provincial Children's Support Fund organized a gift-giving ceremony for households and children in disadvantaged areas of Quy Chau district affected by the flood.

In Thung Khang and Pa Hoc villages, Chau Binh commune, the delegation directly presented 207 gifts, worth nearly 70 million VND to 207 poor households. In the villages of Chau Hoi commune, the delegation presented gifts to 464 poor households in the area, with a total value of nearly 140 million VND.

The delegation also visited Hoi Nga Ethnic Boarding Secondary School to present 473 gifts to students studying and living at the school, each gift included: warm blankets, milk and cakes. The total value is over 140 million VND.

Leaders of the Provincial Children's Fund and local authorities presented warm uniforms to students of Hoi Nga Ethnic Boarding Secondary School (Quy Chau).

On this occasion, Hong Loan Textile and Garment Company Limited, through the Provincial Children's Support Fund, donated 450 warm uniforms to disadvantaged students of primary and secondary schools in Quy Chau and Con Cuong districts.

The above charity program was jointly launched by the Understanding the Heart Fund and the Nghe An Province Children's Fund, calling on organizations, businesses, and charitable individuals at home and abroad to support 1,144 gifts, with a total value of about 350 million VND.

*In Anh Son district, on the afternoon of November 15, a group of Buddhist monks and nuns from District 9 (Ho Chi Minh City), in coordination with Anh Son district Buddhism and the district police, visited and gave gifts to people in the flood-affected areas of Anh Son district.

The delegation met and visited households in difficult circumstances, who suffered a lot of damage in the recent floods in Hoa Son and Cam Son communes, and presented gifts to 200 households, each gift including 300,000 VND in cash, 10 kg of rice and 1 box of instant noodles.
