Organizations and units give Tet gifts to poor households in localities

(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to the Provincial Party Secretary's appeal for support and help for the poor to celebrate the 2024 Lunar New Year, on January 27, all levels, sectors, units and organizations visited and gave gifts to poor households in localities in the province.

National Assembly DelegationThe delegation was led by comrade Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, together with benefactors, to present Tet gifts to policy families and poor households in Nam Dan district. Attending the event was comrade Ha Thanh - Deputy Head of the Department of Planning and Finance, Office of the National Assembly.

In Nam Dan, the delegation presented 50 Tet gifts to policy families and poor households in Thuong Tan Loc and Khanh Son communes, each gift worth 1,300,000 VND (including 1,000,000 VND in cash and a gift bag of necessities worth 300,000 VND).

On behalf of the delegation, comrade Thai Thi An Chung thanked the businessmen and philanthropists for always participating in social security activities, contributing to helping the disadvantaged in Nghe An province. At the same time, the Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation hoped that the Party Committee and local authorities would continue to care for the people's lives; families would continue to make efforts, overcome difficulties to build a better life and celebrate the traditional New Year of the nation warmly, togetherly and happily.

Nursing Doan An 40 Cua Hoi(Political Department of Military Region 4) coordinated with Nghi Yen commune, Nghi Loc district to organize the signing ceremony of the coordination program to implement the Project to improve the quality and effectiveness of mass mobilization work in the period of 2024 - 2025 and launch a call for support for Tet for the poor in the Spring of Giap Thin 2024.

Attending the event were Major General Phan Van Sy - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Political Department, Deputy Chief of Politics of Military Region 4 and leaders of Nghi Loc district.

At the ceremony, the Military Region Political Department, Nghi Loc District People's Committee, Cua Hoi Nursing Group 40 and many companies, businesses and philanthropists donated more than 250 million VND to help poor households in the commune reduce difficulties when Tet comes and Spring comes.

Working delegation of the State Treasury of Nghe An provincevisited and gave gifts in Bao Nam commune, Ky Son district.

Here, the delegation presented 30 gifts (each gift included 1 million VND in cash and necessities) to extremely disadvantaged households in Bao Nam commune. On this occasion, the State Treasury of Nghe An province also presented a portable speaker worth 10 million VND for study and living purposes to Bao Nam 2 Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.

Tam Quang Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard and in coordination with Nghe An Provincial Orthopedic Trauma HospitalOrganized medical examinations and provided free medicine for local people and students in Tan Huong and Tung Huong villages, Tam Quang commune.

The delegation provided medical examinations to 217 people, including 50 children. At the same time, the delegation also presented 50 gifts to poor households (cotton blankets, cooking oil, instant noodles, dried fish) and 195 warm clothes, school supplies, candy, cotton blankets, plastic tables and chairs to students of Tam Quang 2 Kindergarten and Primary School at Tung Huong village, and awarded 10 scholarships to students in difficult circumstances (each worth 1 million VND). The total value of the gifts was 140 million VND.

On the same day, Tam Hop Border Guard Station coordinated with benefactors from Ho Chi Minh City to present 262 Tet gifts to local people and 121 warm clothes to local students. The total value of the gifts was nearly 100 million VND.

Nghe Tinh Business Association expands in Da Nang andNghi Loc Veterans Association (Nghe An) organized the gift giving ceremony of 100 Tet gifts, worth 50 million VND to veteran members who are poor households, near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances, and members with serious illnesses in 18 communes in the district.

Previously, on January 26, the Nghe Tinh Business Association in Da Nang donated 100 million VND to support the construction of a house for Ms. Truong Thi Loi from Chi Luu village, Thach Kenh commune, Thach Ha district, who is in extremely difficult circumstances. Ms. Loi is a single woman and is currently taking care of her 90-year-old mother. She has been disabled since childhood, so her health is poor and she is unable to work.

On this occasion, the association also donated 40 million VND to support victims of Agent Orange/dioxin in Ha Tinh. It donated 25 million VND at the Gala program “HTTV - Connecting Compassionate Arms” to help people overcome difficulties and deadlocks.

These are meaningful activities of the Nghe Tinh Business Association in Da Nang for the Veterans Association members in Nghi Loc (Nghe An), as well as poor households in difficult circumstances, and Agent Orange victims in Ha Tinh, showing the kindness of those working far from home to their homeland.

Ocean Commercial Bank(Ocean Bank) and Con Cuong district presented 100 gifts to the poor in Mon Son commune, each worth 800 thousand VND (including 500 thousand VND in cash and gifts) for the people to have a warm and happy Tet.
