Universities announce admission scores for 2015
The "input" admission scores of all schools are not lower than the input quality assurance threshold that the Ministry of Education and Training will announce.
Currently, universities and colleges across the country have announced 2015 enrollment information, in which some schools have announced the admission scores and the conditions for preliminary application screening.
In 2015, most universities and colleges used the results of the national high school exam for admission. The entrance scores of the schools were not lower than the threshold to ensure the quality of the entrance exam that the Ministry of Education and Training would announce after the national high school exam results were available. Using the same results of the national high school exam, some schools, mainly the "top" schools above, set additional admission conditions to screen applications. The method is to select the average score of the subjects in the group of 3 subjects for admission, or the average score of the years in high school.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu, Vice Principal of Hanoi Medical University, said: This year, the school will have additional preliminary conditions, which is also a part of screening candidates and also ensures more accurate admission. For the medical system, the school requires that the average of each subject, the subjects that candidates will be admitted to Hanoi Medical University, is above 7 points. For the bachelor's system, it is above 6 points. Thus, the requirement for candidates is to have an assessment of the entire learning process in high school.
Some schools, although not requiring additional preliminary conditions, announce the score for receiving applications such as: Hanoi University only accepts applications from candidates with a total score of 3 subjects including Math, Literature, Foreign Language of the high school exam of 15 points or higher on a 10-point scale, without multiplying the coefficient; National Economics University will consider admission for each major, the admission score is at least 2 points higher than the threshold to ensure input quality of the Ministry...
Mr. Pham Quang Trung, Vice Principal of the National Economics University, said: In 2015, the school did not set those thresholds, but this year, the National Economics University will have a floor score for each major. Each major has its own floor score. Thus, there may be majors with a floor score of 26-27 points, but conversely, there may also be majors with a floor score of only 17, 18, or 19 points.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, some schools also use other admission methods such as using the results of the national high school exam combined with academic records. This group of schools is mainly non-public schools, newly established schools and schools with difficulty in recruiting students. Special schools such as the Academy of Journalism and Communication, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law use the results of the high school exam and additional specialized subjects. The group of schools in the field of culture and arts use the results of the national high school exam or consider admission and additional aptitude tests. Currently, only Hanoi National University organizes its own exam with a capacity assessment test for admission./.
