Storm No. 3 (Storm Yagi) is forecast to be very strong and likely to directly impact the Northern and North Central regions. To ensure safety, schools in Nghe An have proactively allowed students to stay home.

In addition, the Department also requires schools to ensure the safety of property and facilities of school buildings. In areas at risk of flooding, machinery, teaching equipment, and library materials must be moved to higher floors or to areas without flood risk to ensure property safety. Trees at risk of falling and breaking must be cut and trimmed; classrooms, functional rooms, power lines, etc. must be inspected to take preventive measures.

Due to the impact of storm No. 3, some localities in Nghe An province are currently experiencing light rain. Therefore, localities have not yet announced that students will be off school. According to the plan, tomorrow (Saturday), students will still go to school as usual.

However, leaders of many education and training departments said they will continue to monitor the developments of storm No. 3. In case there is heavy rain tonight, with many potential safety risks, schools will proactively let students stay home and notify parents and students in each class group early to ensure absolute safety for students, parents and teachers.
