According to the announced plan, Coach Park Hang-seo and his team will gather in Hanoi and practice at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center from May 10 to May 26, then depart for the UAE on the same evening on a special plane of the Sponsor transporting the Vietnam National Team to join the race in the second qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup in Asia. However, due to the temporary suspension of the 2021 national professional tournaments to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic, the team gathering plan has also been adjusted. Accordingly, the team will begin gathering tomorrow (May 7).

On the first day of the gathering, all team members will be tested with real-time RT-PCR to prevent Covid-19. As for the players on the SLNA payroll, because they are F2 of a Covid-19 patient and are currently quarantined with their home club, they will only join the team after being assured of disease safety.
