Also according to the Mirror newspaper, on January 15, the German Federal Prosecutor's Office in Karlsruhe city accepted the case file to investigate this case.
In May 2015, the German Parliament's computer network was attacked when professional software "crashed" 14 servers, including the central network connection. Germany did not disclose how much information was stolen.
These servers were attacked with trojans and were only discovered when the malware penetrated deep into the computers and started transferring data.
The attack started with fake emails sent to the German Parliament purporting to be from the United Nations. Hackers then obtained passwords and gained access to the entire German Parliament network. The system was shut down for several days.
The German Agency for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) affirmed that attacks on the network infrastructure of the government and corporations of this country are currently very serious./.
