How to install and use YouTube Kids for children

YouTube Kids is a kid-friendly app. All content is selected by Google's editorial team. However, YouTube Kids is not yet available for download in Vietnam.

To protect children from bad content on YouTube, Google has released a version specifically for children - YouTube Kids. The biggest difference of YouTube Kids is that all content is selected and censored by Google's editorial board. The application's interface is also optimized, more friendly to all audiences, especially children.

YouTube Kids is highly appreciated in Western countries and is considered an important educational channel for young children. However, for many reasons, this application is only released in some countries and is not popular worldwide, including Vietnam.

If you search on Apple Store or Google Play as usual, you will not find this application. Downloading YouTube Kids is also quite complicated, many people want to install it for their children to use but do not know how.

Below are some instructions to help download YouTube Kids on iPhone, iPad right in Vietnam.

Step 1: Use a foreign Apple ID account

If you have an Apple ID account from a foreign country like the US, New Zealands or Australia, you can download YouTube Kids right away.

If you don't have an account, you need to create a foreign Apple ID account. You accesshttps://appleid.apple.com/, create a new Apple ID. In the region selection, choose the United States, New Zealands or Australia instead of Vietnam. After filling in all the information as required by Apple, you will have a new Apple ID.

Create a new Apple ID in a country that supports YouTube Kids downloads.

Step 2: Log in to App Store, download YouTube Kids

Once you've created a new Apple ID in the App Store that supports YouTube Kids, simply sign in to the Apple store and search for the app to download.

There are many YouTube Kids clones in the App Store. You need to find the app developed by Google, Inc. and download it. YouTube Kids is quite user-friendly, users will access the app directly without having to log in to their account or do any additional steps.

Google's YouTube Kids will have a red icon with a smiley car face.

Step 3: Install and use YouTube Kids

The first time you access, YouTube Kids will have some quick instructions for you to use. The interesting thing is that YouTube Kids supports Vietnamese, users can easily use and install. This is an application specifically for children, so it is designed quite simply and colorfully.

YouTube Kids' interface is simple, colorful, and free of automatic ads.

YouTube Kids is completely ad-free. All content is carefully selected by Google's editorial team. Videos are divided into four main tabs: TV, music, learning, and discovery. In addition, the "Recommended" tab will automatically make suggestions based on users' search habits or current trends.

All settings are encrypted with numbers, only adults have the right to intervene. In the settings, parents can set a timer for YouTube Kids. When the timer runs out, the application will automatically lock. If you want to continue using it, you must enter a password.

Parents can reset the search engine or timer for the app.

In the settings, YouTube Kids allows you to customize the font size and color. Limit the content displayed by age: Preschool to school age or all children. You can even turn off search mode, allowing children to only see suggested content.

Unlike standard YouTube, the Kids version is also censored from the search stage. Keywords that are not age-appropriate will not return any search results and will be notified as "Try searching for something else!".

Although not yet supported for download on the Vietnamese App Store, YouTube Kids updates many Vietnamese cartoons and fairy tales. Even some famous cartoons with 4K image standards are dubbed in Vietnamese. All are free.
