Ways to prevent obesity for office workers.
A meal full of delicious food can lead you to eat more than usual, and you'll pay a high price for your eating habits. Fortunately, scientists have discovered biochemical mechanisms to control appetite, helping us limit weight gain.
Don't skip meals:
Those who skip breakfast or lunch will compensate by overeating at dinner. This is common. During fasting, the body's glycogen stores are depleted, resulting in increased cravings for food and potentially leading to overeating.
Drink water little by little:
Drinking water is the best way to curb excessive appetite. Water cools the mouth and fills the stomach, thus reducing cravings. It's best to drink plenty of water each day; green tea and low-calorie fruit juices are also good options. Don't gulp down the entire glass; instead, sip small amounts frequently throughout the day.

Eat plenty of soup:
In 1989, researcher Barbara Rolls and her colleagues at Johns Hopkins University (USA) invited 12 men to lunch for two weeks. Each day they were served one of three options: tomato soup, crackers and cheese, or fresh fruit.
Each dish had the same calorie count. Then they were given the three dishes in turn. The tomato soup outperformed the other two in reducing calorie intake. The soup reduced calorie intake by 25% compared to the other two. This is probably because the soup takes up more space in the stomach.
Eat multiple meals:
A main meal, especially one high in sugar, will stimulate the body to produce insulin over a long period, eliminating excess sugar in the bloodstream and encouraging the production and storage of fat.
Eating smaller meals throughout the day prevents insulin from being released for short periods, which helps reduce the amount of fat produced and stored, benefiting weight loss.
Consume plenty of carbohydrates:
A few years ago, dieters were encouraged to consume foods high in protein and low in carbohydrates. Since then, some dieting methods have been deemed unhealthy and potentially life-threatening.
Foods rich in carbohydrates and low in fat, such as rice, potatoes, and frozen pork knuckles, are highly regarded because they satisfy appetite without providing many calories. Furthermore, carbohydrates are digested and stored less efficiently than fats. This means that the body metabolizes carbohydrates more quickly than it metabolizes fats, increasing body temperature and reducing appetite. Nutritionists recommend consuming whole grains such as bread and porridge 6-11 times a day.
Eat plenty of fiber:
Foods high in fiber make you feel full and encourage you to chew thoroughly. This is a natural way to eat slowly. This time helps the body understand that it has received enough "fuel" and doesn't need more.
Foods high in soluble fiber, such as barley, beans, beets, apples, citrus fruits, carrots, and potatoes, also reduce insulin production. Normally, insulin levels increase after meals to help metabolize fats and sugars. But soluble fiber helps keep these levels lower after meals.
Mentality:
Whether you're munching on a sausage or popcorn, the taste, sound, and appearance of each food item stimulate your appetite... First, ask yourself why you want to eat. Our eating habits are heavily influenced by external factors. A crowded and lively meal will make you eat more. Eating alone, slowly, and chewing thoroughly will lead to less food and reduced cravings.
