How to calculate graduation scores and conditions for high school graduation recognition
At 8:00 a.m. on July 17, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the 2024 high school graduation exam scores. Through search tools, candidates will quickly know their exam scores.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the high school graduation score includes the scores of the exams that candidates take to be considered for high school graduation recognition, priority and incentive points (if any) and the average score of the entire 12th grade year.
The score of each test is converted to a 10-point scale to calculate the graduation score. The graduation score will include: 70% of the high school exam score and 30% of the average grade 12 score.

Candidates need to know the following scores: scores of registered entrance exams; incentive points (candidates who participate and win prizes in competitions for excellent students in cultural subjects, rankings in professional practice certificates or intermediate degrees); priority points; 12th grade scores.
To be recognized as graduating from high school, candidates must meet the following conditions: candidates who are eligible to take the exam, have not been disciplined to have their exam results canceled, all exams and component subjects of the combined exam registered for graduation recognition must achieve above 1 point on a 10-point scale, and have a graduation score of 5 points or higher to be recognized as graduating from high school.
For candidates who are eligible to take the exam but do not have the average score for the entire 12th grade year as prescribed, only the test scores of the prescribed exams will be used to calculate the score for high school graduation recognition.
Candidates who are regular education students who are not subject to conduct classification and study by self-study with guidance, if considered for special consideration according to the provisions of Article 37 of the examination regulations, are not required to have conditions on conduct classification.
If a candidate has both a vocational certificate and a secondary school diploma, he/she can only use one of the two documents above to get bonus points; if a candidate has multiple vocational certificates or secondary school diplomas, bonus points will only be given to the 1 certificate/diploma with the highest result.
With foreign language and IT certificates issued according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, bonus points are reserved throughout the entire level of study and added to the exam score to calculate the graduation score.
Candidates who wish to have their exam results reviewed will submit their application for review from July 17 to 26. By July 19 at the latest, the Departments of Education and Training will consider and recognize high school graduation for each candidate. By July 23 at the latest, high schools will issue temporary graduation certificates, print and send certificates of exam results to candidates.
