How to calculate calories in each dish during Tet to avoid gaining weight
A potato provides energy equal to a bowl of rice, 100g of raisins contain 299 kcal, eating a lot will make you gain weight easily after Tet.
According to nutritionists, the main culprits causing weight gain are dried fruits, candies, and soft drinks. Therefore, you should know the amount of calories in each Tet dish to control your body's energy intake.

Here is how to calculate calories in some Tet foods:
- A can of soft drink has about 145 calories, almost equal to a bowl of rice.
- A portion of fried chicken has 400-500 calories (equal to nearly 3 bowls of rice).
- One potato provides as much energy as a bowl of rice.
- 100g of raisins contain 299 calories.
- A banana has 100 calories.
- A small piece of banh chung about 100g contains 180 calories.
- When cooking stir-fried food, just one tablespoon of oil provides 115 calories.
- A can of beer has 140 calories, equivalent to a bowl of rice.
Doctor Le Thi Hai, National Institute of Nutrition advises women to limit eating fried ham, fatty ham, fried spring rolls, banh chung. Do not eat fried banh chung, cakes, candies, soft drinks... In particular, you should eat enough vegetables and ripe fruits with an average amount of 400g per person per day.
To avoid gaining weight, before eating rice, enjoy a plate of boiled vegetables, add a glass of water to "fill" the empty space in your stomach.
