How to treat cough with kha tu
When you have a sore throat or feel difficulty swallowing or slight pain in the throat when swallowing, you must treat it immediately by: holding a myrobalan fruit in your mouth, swallowing the juice slowly until the astringent substance is gone. After a few hours, if you still feel uncomfortable, hold another fruit in your mouth.
You can peel a piece of fresh turmeric the size of your thumb and suck it like kha tu. You should usually suck it right away when you feel difficulty swallowing. Just sucking on 1 kha tu will cure your sore throat.
If you use the medicine late, take 3 fruits every day for 2-3 days and sore throat, dry cough, and loss of voice will all be cured. Another way is to combine 8g of myrobalan with 6g of licorice, 10g of Platycodon grandiflorum, boil to get water to drink every day.
Used a lot in treating coughs with phlegm for children: roast the kha tu, then drop it into a cup of hot water with a little salt for the child to suck, very effective.
