How to deal with foggy car windows
When driving in rainy or foggy weather conditions, the car windows often become foggy, causing unsafety. So how to handle this situation?
Turn on the glass dryer
This is the simplest and most effective way to defrost your car windows. Most cars are equipped with a defroster and the control buttons are always conveniently located for the driver.

Specifically, the button to activate the windshield defroster function is always located right on the air conditioning system control panel. This button is also very easy to recognize with the arrows pointing the wind direction up.
Cars usually have 2 buttons for the front and rear windows. The front window defogger button will have a shape that simulates the front window like an open fan. Some cars have the word "front" written on it. The rear window defogger button will have a square shape that simulates the rear window and often has the word "rear" added.
Normally, after turning on the glass drying function, only about 5-10 minutes later, the phenomenon of water vapor sticking to the glass will be completely resolved.
Note, when turning on the glass defroster function, you need to close the car doors. If left open, this function will be almost useless or very ineffective. In addition, many people often put a mat on the dashboard, causing the air blowing system to be obstructed. Therefore, when turning on the glass defroster, to dry the glass faster, you should temporarily remove the mat from the dashboard.
Adjust the air conditioner
For older car models that are not equipped with a windshield defroster, you can also fix the foggy windshield problem by adjusting the air conditioning system accordingly. This will help regulate the temperature inside the cabin, thereby reducing the temperature difference between inside and outside the car.
Lower the window
In case of light rain and not too cold weather, the driver can lower the windows on both sides by about 10-15cm. This will help balance the temperature between the car and the outside environment. However, the windows should not be lowered too far to avoid affecting the health of passengers as well as the interior of the car.
Turn on the fan
To avoid fogging, the driver can turn on the fan in outside air intake mode and adjust the air vents to face the windshield. This method helps to focus the air flow on the windshield to balance the temperature and humidity between the inside and outside of the car, preventing the windshield from fogging.
Nano coating for car glass
Nano glass coating is also considered an effective way to deal with foggy car windows when driving in rainy or foggy weather.
Nano glass coating can be understood as the process of coating a layer of glue to cover the car or the windshield, windshield on the car. This nano glue layer, with high gloss and hardness, helps prevent scratches, water adhesion, and dust on the car surface. Thanks to that, the car glass always maintains its clarity, does not become opaque and has a longer life.
Use anti-fog products
In addition to using the air conditioning system or the glass defrosting function, many drivers also share an effective tip to help deal with foggy car windows when driving in the rain, which is to use anti-fog products to wipe small areas of the car windows.
These include: Using dry towels, absorbent paper, additives or shaving foam. These tips can be applied in emergency situations in the car.
