Is California still the promised land?

(Baonghean) - The state of California is considered to be blessed with ideal natural conditions, warm sunshine all year round, green grass, flower beds showing off all the brilliant colors... it is completely different from the areas in the Northeast or Midwest of the land of the stars and stripes. With such natural favors, this place has long been the promised land of not only Americans flocking to in search of a good life. But what about now?

According to statistics, over the past 4 years, this land has suffered the worst drought in 1,200 years, the lush green grass and colorful flower beds, even the large rivers and large lakes that are the pride of the state have been replaced by aridity and cracking. This has caused many difficulties for the daily lives of the people. Because as we know, everything that exists on this earth must use water. Water for drinking, bathing, water for production... Therefore, the water level in rivers and reservoirs across the state has dropped to the point of almost being exhausted. This forced the state government to make a decision to force people to reduce water use. But these are simply temporary solutions, and when it comes to temporary solutions, they are always just temporary solutions, and if you want to change, you need to find out the specific causes to change.

According to USA Today, Professor Noah Diffenbaugh, head of the Stanford University report, "California's worst droughts occur when two conditions of high temperature and dryness occur at the same time, and global warming is the culprit. He believes that when severe heat and drought occur at the same time, it means that humans must bear the main responsibility." This is completely understandable. Because the burning of fossil fuels such as oil, gas and coal by humans always increases the amount of carbon dioxide and many other greenhouse gases that destroy the atmosphere, this layer has the effect of preventing ultraviolet rays from shining down on the Earth. In areas where the ozone layer is lost, the land becomes desertified, and other extreme weather patterns appear... Including the terrible drought in California over the past 4 years.

Thus, from a land considered a dream paradise - a place blessed by nature with lush green lawns, charming landscapes, temperate climate, vast green forests, vast rivers and lakes, where Los Angeles City is the capital of the entertainment industry and Silicon Valley is the high-tech center of the land of the Stars and Stripes. But now, most of the people in this state are living on water subsidies from the government, charities... And when the land is arid, rivers and lakes dry up, water is a luxury even for the rich, it is not far away that California will no longer be the promised land as it was once recognized.
