When people chased the motorbike from the bank along Mai Thuc Loan street to Ngo Duc Ke street, the robber turned back and fired two shots.
A daring bank robbery occurred at around 5:00 p.m. this afternoon at the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) branch, 29 Mai Thuc Loan Street, Hue City.
While the bank employees were counting the money, a masked man rushed in, threatened them with a gun-like object, took a large amount of money including stacks of 500,000 VND bills, and then ran away.

When the people chased the motorbike from the bank along Mai Thuc Loan street to Ngo Duc Ke street, the robber turned around and fired two shots. Luckily, the chaser was not hit. The robber then escaped.

Hue City Police and Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police immediately arrived at the scene, blocked off the bank, took statements and investigated to clarify the incident.
No one was injured at this time.
The amount of the robbery is being verified.
