At Long Bien market (Hanoi), most of the oranges coming to the market are Chinese oranges and Van Giang oranges (Hung Yen). Of which, Chinese oranges are sold in bulk at 15,000-17,000 VND/kg. From Long Bien market, oranges are sold in small retail markets, "renamed" and labeled as Vinh oranges, and sold at high prices.

On many streets in Hanoi such as Minh Khai, Phuong Mai, Tran Thai Tong... in the late afternoon, a series of motorbikes selling oranges appear, advertised as Vinh oranges at a cheap price of 30,000 VND/kg.

According to orange farm owners in Vinh, Vinh orange season starts from late October to January, the wholesale price for agents in Hanoi is 50,000 VND/kg, if customers buy retail price is 60,000 VND/kg, so there is no way Vinh oranges are sold in abundance in the market at cheap prices.
