4 Chinese people at Maria clinic banned from leaving the country

These are the people who directly examined and treated the leprosy patient (who died) at Maria clinic (65-67 Thai Thinh, Dong Da, Hanoi).

Currently, all four people have left their temporary residence.

According to Vietnam+, the investigation agency has requested that the authorities issue an exit ban for four Chinese nationals involved in the death of patient Nguyen Thi Thu Phong on the night of July 14 at Maria General Clinic (65-67 Thai Thinh, Dong Da, Hanoi).

Specifically, these 4 people were clearly identified, including: Mr. Zhou Ji Anjao (61 years old), who examined and determined that Ms. Phong had cervical ectropion and needed cervical ectropion treatment. Besides, there was also Deng Qin Zhi (35 years old) who directly performed the procedure for patient Phong.

Meanwhile, Zhang Ling Gong (27 years old) was the anesthetist for the leprosy patient, and Dong Chang Rui (39 years old) was the manager of the gynecology-family planning clinic. The above mentioned people were identified as the people who directly examined and treated the leprosy patient.

According to the investigation agency, it was initially determined that at around 5:00 p.m. on July 14, the victim, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phong (35 years old, in La Khe ward, Ha Dong district, Hanoi) went to see a doctor at Maria clinic.

Here, Dr. Zhou Ji Anjao examined and determined that Ms. Phong had cervical ectropion and needed cervical ectropion treatment. After that, this doctor recorded the medical examination and prescribed the necessary medication for Ms. Phong.

Next, nurse Bui Thi Tham directly administered 0.5% glucose as prescribed by Dr. Deng Qin Zhi. Dr. Zhang Ling Gong performed anesthesia, and Dr. Deng Qin Zhi performed cervical cauterization for Ms. Phong.

However, during the examination and other treatments, seeing that Ms. Phong had a stuffy nose, Dr. Zhang Ling Gong gave her oxygen and took her to get antibiotics.

At around 9pm on July 14, Ms. Phong called her family to come pick her up because she felt dizzy. Ms. Phong's family received the call and immediately rushed to Maria Clinic.

However, Ms. Phong's family was not allowed to see her and had to wait for nearly an hour. Later, the victim's family saw a 115 ambulance appear at the same time the family received the news that patient Phong had died.

According to the investigation agency leader, in addition to the four Chinese people who left the temporary residence, other employees at Maria Clinic cooperated well with the police to clarify the case.

The investigation agency is also completing legal procedures to prosecute the case under Article 242 of the Penal Code./.
