GOAL SCORER:
Croatia:Olić (11'), Perisić (48'), Mandžukić (61', 73')
With the return of striker Mario Mandzukic after suspension, Croatia seemed to have wings and immediately created attacks that hit Cameroon in the face. With a squad of players playing for top European clubs, it was not difficult for the Balkan representative to celebrate the first goal.
In the 11th minute, from an attack on the right wing by Dario Srna, the ball fell to Ivan Perisic after bouncing off Mandzukic, the Wolfsburg player quickly passed the ball to Ivica Olic who ran up to finish close to the goal, opening the score. A favorable start for Croatia, and it was completely reasonable compared to what had happened before.
The turning point of the match came with 5 minutes left in the first half. Midfielder Alex Song had a blatant foul on Mandzukic and was given a straight red card. Having to play with 10 men for the remaining time, it was no surprise that Cameroon quickly fell apart, partly due to the spontaneous tactics, partly due to the players' resignation.

In the 48th minute, the African representative suffered the second goal. Goalkeeper Charles Itandje had a decisive clearance in the air, sending the ball straight to Perisic's feet. This player then had a spectacular acceleration and shot, completely deceiving Itandje's obvious intention to predict.
In the remaining minutes, with a completely superior and more classy game, Croatia had 2 more goals by striker Mandzukic, closing out a resounding 4-star victory over Cameroon. This result made the African team the 3rd name after Spain and Australia to say goodbye to the 2014 World Cup.
