A VNA reporter in Phnom Penh quoted the Cambodian National Police General Department as saying that the country's authorities recently arrested four people suspected of printing and distributing leaflets in many places in the capital inciting armed forces to overthrow the Royal Government.

According to a press release from the general department, these people operate under the command of Mr. Suon Serayrotha, head of an illegal armed organization called the Khmer People Power Movement, who is currently living abroad.

He was previously arrested by a Cambodian court on charges of inciting violence.

The press release also warned political parties and civil society organizations operating in Cambodia that activities of distributing leaflets encouraging violence, using weapons, and causing social instability will be handled according to current Cambodian laws./.
