Cambodia inaugurates headquarters of Military History Institute aided by Vietnam
According to a VNA reporter in Cambodia, on the morning of January 16 in the capital Phnom Penh, the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense held an inauguration ceremony for the headquarters of the Military History Institute, a project funded by the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense in 2013.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Anh Dung said that in addition to the funding for building the headquarters included in the aid from the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense to the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense in 2013 and the funding for purchasing equipment for the Military History Institute, in recent years Vietnam has paid attention to helping Cambodia train and coach human resources for military history work.
Dozens of officers and employees of the Royal Cambodian Army have been sent to study and research in Vietnam in the field of military history; this human resource will contribute to the development of Cambodia's military history sector in the future.
For his part, General Num Sovath emphasized that the newly inaugurated Military History Institute is a new symbol of solidarity and historical cooperation between the Defense Ministries of Cambodia and Vietnam, demonstrating the efforts and determination of the two Defense Ministries in developing human resources, in line with the third phase of the development quadrilateral strategy of the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Royal Army reform plan based on solidarity and friendly cooperation with international friends.
According to General Num Sovath, the valuable aid of the Vietnam People's Army to the Royal Cambodian Army has made an extremely important contribution to the social development and national defense of Cambodia.
The General believes that the Government and the Vietnam People's Army will continue to help and support Cambodia to contribute to protecting peace and stability in the region and the world.
