There needs to be a mechanism to control funding sources in schools.

On the afternoon of June 12, in Dien Phuc commune (Dien Chau), delegates of the Provincial People's Council including: Ms. Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Cao Thi Thuy - Officer of the Women's Union of Dien Chau district had a meeting with voters of Dien Phuc, Dien Thanh communes and Dien Chau district town.

Reflecting to the provincial People's Council delegates, voter Cao Sy Thuan (Dien Phuc commune) expressed concern about the situation of farmers no longer being interested in agriculture, accepting to work for hire in the city from maids, workers to traders, construction workers, etc.

According to Mr. Thuan, people abandoned their fields because the cost of agricultural input materials increased while the value gained from agricultural production was low, the orientation of crops, and the market for agricultural products were weak, so people chose to earn money from other jobs.

“The consequences of farmers abandoning their fields not only affect the stability of agricultural production and social life, but also cause land to become fallow and waste land resources. Voters want the State to have a policy to guide a reasonable product structure, suitable for market conditions, and build economic models to help farmers improve production efficiency,” said Mr. Thuan.

Voter Phan Dinh Trung (Dien Thanh commune) reported that implementing the policy of socializing education in schools, some schools took advantage of the policy to use it for the wrong purpose, causing public opinion to have a "distorted" view of this policy, causing public outrage in recent times.

Responding to clarify this issue, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council said that the Ministry of Education and Training has issued Circular 16 on regulations on funding for educational institutions in the national education system. This includes specific regulations on mobilizing, receiving, managing and using funding from domestic and foreign agencies, organizations and individuals for educational institutions in the national education system.

At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee has specific instructions to ensure that funding sources in schools are public, transparent, and used for the right purposes and objects.

At the meeting, voters also proposed solutions to policies for people with revolutionary contributions, land management policies; seniority policies for teachers; concerns about the quality of human resources in the education and health sectors; merging hamlets needs to be suitable to the characteristics of each hamlet, etc.
