(Baonghean) - Recognizing the important position of radio broadcasting, over the years, Tuong Duong district has always proactively built plans and projects to develop a radio network to the grassroots. Currently, 12/18 communes of Tuong Duong district have received investment from the State to install grassroots radio stations, with transmitter capacity from 30W to 100W. Every day, the District Radio Station maintains a news program broadcasting 2 sessions, with rich information time, promptly updating events taking place in the district. The audio bridge of Tuong Duong Radio Station has conveyed to radio listeners and people of all walks of life practical information more and more closely. News on the radio about the political situation, socio-economic situation, security, pest situation, epidemics and disease prevention methods... has gradually become closer and more familiar to everyone. In particular, the country's important political events as well as major holidays are widely propagated by the station to a large number of people. Grassroots radio stations have contributed to changing the face of rural areas. The voice of radio has propagated and mobilized people to successfully carry out the movements "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", "Join hands to build new rural areas", effectively contributing to localities in successfully implementing annual socio-economic, security and defense targets.
However, there is a reality that makes us worry: the quality of machinery and equipment at grassroots radio stations is too poor, often broken, many local programs are monotonous, not highly combative, news articles have little discovery nature... Although recently the stations have tried to innovate in content, improve the quality of radio programs, but the limitations in investment in facilities, due to the difficulty of the commune budget, the staff doing grassroots radio work is unstable, lack of professional expertise, low allowances so it does not meet the requirements of operation, technical quality and sound are still limited.
It is thought that the functional sectors need to pay attention to building projects, investment plans and improving the quality of radio broadcasting activities from the district to the grassroots. In particular, it is necessary to organize and effectively implement the national target program "bringing information to the grassroots, border, islands, remote and isolated areas" in the best way. At the same time, there must be specific regulations on remuneration levels for staff working in grassroots radio broadcasting, promptly resolving current difficulties in the locality. In addition, in the long term, in order for commune and town radio stations to operate more professionally and effectively, the team of people working in grassroots radio broadcasting needs to be properly trained, especially the policies need to be more reasonable. Only then can grassroots radio stations promote their role well, operate effectively, and those working in grassroots radio broadcasting can feel secure in sticking with the profession they have chosen.
