Need to speed up the construction progress of the 700-bed Provincial General Hospital

The delegation worked with the Construction Management Board of Nghe An General Hospital.
The project to invest in the construction of a new provincial General Hospital with a scale of 700 beds after 3 adjustments, adding items to meet the standards of a modern level I hospital, has a total investment of 1,356 billion VND; construction floor area of 57,106 m2. Up to this point, the architectural construction, electricity and water systems in the main building and independent departments have been basically completed; Procurement, installation of equipment and construction of technical infrastructure items such as electricity supply, water supply and drainage in the building, yard, road, internal fence are in progress... The total value of the volume of work performed up to March 31, 2013 reached 600 billion VND, of which, the capital disbursed up to April 30 was more than 444.232 billion VND, the investor owes the contractor 178 billion VND.
Currently, the biggest difficulty is the lack of capital to pay for completed volumes and deploy other items such as the road system, rainwater and wastewater drainage; waste and wastewater treatment area; operator house, backup generator; trees - lawns... On the other hand, area B is reserved for building service facilities for the hospital and patients' families and has not yet been cleared.
Provincial People's Council supervises the construction progress of the Provincial General Hospital.
During the inspection, the inspection team requested the investor, the Project Management Board and contractors to actively coordinate to speed up the construction progress to ensure synchronization and put the hospital into operation soon; coordinate with the Vinh City People's Committee to clear the land of Area B; study and propose to the Government and the Provincial People's Council additional capital sources to meet the needs of implementing the hospital construction on schedule and with quality.
