(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 9, Mr. Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with the People's Committee of Nghia Dan district on environmental protection of the industrial-scale dairy farming and milk processing project invested by TH Dairy Food Joint Stock Company.

Before starting work, comrade Hoang Viet Duong inspected the situation and grasped the people's thoughts and aspirations about the environmental pollution situation due to the impact of the project in Tan Lam hamlet, Nghia Lam commune and Son Ha, Nghia Son commune.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Nghia Dan district, currently, TH Dairy Food Joint Stock Company has completed construction and put into use a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 1,500 m3/day and night; waste is transported to the compost treatment plant for treatment, the excess amount of waste is transported by specialized vehicles to the project's grass fields; spraying to kill flies, mosquitoes, and other harmful insects... However, at farms built at higher positions than the surrounding residential areas, during the heavy rain and flood season, wastewater flows into residential areas...

After listening to the opinions of TH Milk Food Joint Stock Company, departments, branches, leaders of Nghia Lam and Nghia Son communes, concluding the working session, comrade Hoang Viet Duong said: the problem of environmental pollution due to the impact of the project in the two hamlets of Tan Lam and Son Ha as reflected by the people is well-founded; the investor has made efforts to protect the environment but the technology has not met the reality. On the part of the People's Committee of Nghia Dan district and the communes, there have been solutions to check and handle environmental pollution but the problem of proactive coordination is sometimes not timely. Therefore, the Provincial People's Committee continues to assign Nghia Dan district to coordinate with investors, departments, branches to re-establish a very specific resettlement project, with a suitable roadmap to help people stabilize their lives and develop the factory...
