Partly because more and more cake brands are opening stalls, increasing competition, and partly because the past few days have been affected by storms and rain, reducing the number of customers.

Although the price of handmade cakes is higher, many customers choose them.

City dwellers are increasingly concerned about product quality and food safety (FSH). Therefore, more and more customers prefer to buy cakes from famous brands, which are handmade, despite the high prices. In particular, some types of cakes are "sold out" such as: Baked cakes with green bean, lotus seed, green tea fillings...

Some stores also have new cake designs with cute and funny animal shapes, priced from 35,000 to 80,000 VND/cake, which are very popular with parents with small children. Near the full moon day, this type of cake sells very well and is sold out very early.

In previous Mid-Autumn Festivals, cakes were sold sporadically, but this year, about a week before the full moon, the number of customers ordering gifts and retail increased dramatically. Many handmade cake shops could not make enough to sell.
