(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 2, the Nghe An Monuments and Landscapes Management Board held a training conference on the conservation of monuments and landscapes.

Attending the conference were representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, cultural officers from 21 districts, cities and towns in the province.

Up to now, the number of discovered scenic relics is 2,586, of which 364 have been ranked (02 special national relics, 137 national relics, 225 provincial relics). The relic system is mainly distributed in the plain districts, with diverse types of relics such as historical and archaeological relics, architectural and artistic relics, scenic spots... Although there are a large number, the number of relics with large scale and originality is not much.

Nowadays, the increasing number of people visiting relics as well as the voluntary donations of organizations and individuals to famous relics and landscapes have a very important meaning for the cause of preserving and promoting the value of relics in the province. However, along with that, there are also some challenging issues for the management agencies. In particular, the preservation, restoration and promotion of the original values ​​of the relics are being focused on and paid attention to by the managing units.

At the conference, delegates were trained in basic scientific knowledge to preserve and promote the values ​​of relics. In particular, it was emphasized that there should be a respectful attitude towards the original elements and parts of the relics; before proceeding with restoration, it is necessary to carry out interdisciplinary research to have a thorough understanding of the value, state of preservation, and historical circumstances.

Regarding the work of propaganda and education for people about the preservation of relics, lecturers said that it is necessary to widely disseminate to the people, especially teenagers and students, about the cultural values ​​and traditions of the nation contained in the relics; there should be traditional education models at the relics; strengthen forms of education in schools... The managing units need to cooperate with theaters and film crews to develop scripts about the cultural history of dynasties, about historical figures, associated with the figures worshiped in the relics.
