The report at the Conference said: 2020 is the last year to implement the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress, the Department of Culture and Sports has advised on achieving and exceeding the targets set out in the resolution.

The industry has successfully completed the tasks assigned by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee to organize major holidays in 2020. Propaganda work on political tasks, cultural and artistic activities to celebrate major holidays have increasingly improved in artistic quality and organizational capacity, well meeting the people's need for spiritual cultural enjoyment.

The work of inventorying cultural heritage, preparing records for ranking, restoring, embellishing, renovating, protecting and promoting the value of cultural heritage relics has been regularly paid attention to and achieved important results. The sector has also completed the inventory of intangible cultural heritage in the whole province in 2020; Reviewing, researching and restoring Han Nom in Nam Dan district. Organizing a workshop on preserving and promoting the value of the Soviet Nghe Tinh relic system, a workshop on "Vac Village Archaeological Relics of Historical and Cultural Value"; building a dossier to propose UNESCO to honor female poet Ho Xuan Huong. Organizing the inauguration of the statue of Phan Boi Chau; organizing the ceremony to receive the Special National Certificate of Hoanh Son communal house associated with the 990th anniversary of the name Nghe An. Consulting on the ranking of 14 relics, of which there has been a decision to rank 11 relics at the provincial level; 02 relics at the national level.

The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" continues to be promoted and improved in quality, associated with the implementation of the program of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, positively impacting the socio-economic development of the province. Family work has been effectively implemented by all levels and sectors.

The mass sports movement is increasingly developing, the safe swimming program, drowning prevention contributes to reducing child drowning. High-performance sports are increasingly asserting their position, the results of youth championships are high, ensuring resources for youth football in the upcoming 9th Sports Festival.

Concluding the conference, comrade Bui Dinh Long emphasized: Although quite comprehensive results have been achieved in the past year, there are still shortcomings that need to be overcome, such as the conservation and restoration of tangible heritages still has many shortcomings, while the restoration work has been completed but the work of promoting heritages is not up to par. There is still a situation of encroachment on relics, the propaganda for the conservation of heritages has not reached the people. In addition, the titles of Cultural Family and Cultural Village are still implemented roughly while the criteria are quite clear.

Therefore, in the coming time, the industry needs to review and implement by 2021 major projects with long-term strategic significance such as: Preserving and promoting the heritage of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs; developing the heritage economy, Resolutions of the Provincial People's Council: on collecting fees to visit relics, museums and cultural works; on incentives for athletes who contribute achievements to the province and the country, the North Central Sports Complex Project.

At the same time, it is also necessary to promptly implement the tasks of the new period that the industry has set out, such as developing and implementing projects: Developing high-performance sports in the period of 2021-2030, developing heritage economy in Nghe An province in the period of 2021-2030; advising on the timely promulgation of a number of policy mechanisms that have had many shortcomings and changes such as the Resolution on mechanisms and policies for preserving and embellishing relics; remuneration mechanisms for those working in relic protection...
