Mr. Nguyen Huu Hung, father of Nguyen Thi Khanh Linh, said that this afternoon, around 4:30 p.m., he came to pick up his daughter who was studying at school but did not see her in the classroom.

Trying to call and find his daughter, Mr. Hung discovered that the teachers were acting strangely. A teacher pointed to the upper floor, and a moment later, he saw a teacher carrying Linh down. Upon seeing her father, Linh was very frightened, with many bruises on her face, around her eyes, cheeks, and ears. A teacher explained that she had fallen. Seeing the unusual bruises on her face, Mr. Hung asked her and the teacher replied that she had been beaten by a friend.

Believing that the teacher was dishonest, Mr. Hung asked the teachers to take the child to the principal's office to clarify the matter. After a while of denying and arguing, the homeroom teacher Nguyen Thi Thanh Hang admitted to hitting Khanh Linh in the face with a ruler. According to the report that teacher Hang gave to the parents and the school's board of directors, on March 15, in the kindergarten class 2, while teacher Hang was cleaning the classroom, she discovered Khanh Linh walking barefoot into the bathroom. Because there was potty water and urine scattered around, the child slipped and fell, bruising her lip.

Explaining the reason for using a ruler to hit Khanh Linh, Ms. Hang said that Linh refused to sleep and went out to play. “At noon, I let the children go to sleep and eat, Khanh Linh ran out, I went into the classroom and took a ruler to hit her in the face, on the left cheek,” Ms. Hang wrote in her report.

That same evening, teacher Le Thi Thuy - the school's principal, visited Khanh Linh's home, apologized and promised to take appropriate action against teacher Hang's actions. It is known that Ms. Hang is 22 years old this year, graduated from college, and has just been employed as a teacher at Hoang Thi Loan Kindergarten for about 5 months. "Normally, Ms. Hang is very gentle, friendly, and loved and trusted by parents. When the incident happened, all parents and students were very surprised," said Ms. Thuy.

Although teacher Hang admitted her mistake and the school representative actively cooperated to resolve the matter, the family representative said that teacher Hang had not shown sincerity in admitting her mistake and requested thatstrictly handle the behavior of this young teacher. In particular, Khanh Linh's family said that their child had only been to school for 3 sessions but was beaten by the teacher, this would have a negative impact on the psychology of a 2-year-old child.
