CANA: Giving Tet gifts to people in especially difficult circumstances
(Baonghean.vn) - With the hearts of the Nghe An Provincial Police towards the poor and the unfortunate, in the days before the Lunar New Year 2014, many groups and units directly gave meaningful gifts to the poor, people in especially difficult circumstances, and families with meritorious services in Nghe An province to celebrate the New Year.
On the afternoon of January 24, 2014, the Youth Union of the Road and Railway Traffic Police Department coordinated with Team 46 to give Tet gifts to 5 poor households in Hamlet 15, Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City. The delegation then visited and gave gifts to 2 families of martyrs who died while on duty in CANA.
On January 25, the leaders of the Party and Mass Affairs Department, the Women's Affairs Committee of the Provincial Police and representatives of the Women's Union of PV22, PX21, and the Force Building Block also directly presented 30 gifts to children with disabilities and serious illnesses who are children of CANA officers and soldiers, 15 gifts to children of war invalids in the Nghe An Police force, and 12 gifts to members of the Women's Union of the Nghe An Police with especially difficult circumstances. The amount was taken from the fund for natural disaster prevention, gratitude, hunger eradication and poverty reduction of the Ministry of Public Security 43 million VND; the Provincial Police's gratitude fund 27 million VND; the Provincial Police's Women's Union 6.4 million VND; in addition, the Women's Union of PV22, PX21, and the Force Building Block also supported 2 million VND to give to members with especially difficult circumstances.

On the same afternoon, the leaders of the Social Security Department went to Vinh Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district to directly present gifts and support the amount of 3 million VND to promptly share the loss and encourage the family of Lieutenant Phan Van Hanh (born in 1981, Brigade 146) - a soldier who sacrificed his life while on patrol duty, protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea and islands at Toc Tan C island in Truong Sa archipelago.
