Nghe Tinh Port: Welcoming the top code of 2012
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of January 1, 2012, at Cua Lo Port, Nghe Tinh Port One Member Co., Ltd. held a ceremony to receive the first shipment of the year. Attending were comrades: Thai Van Hang - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Chieu Thanh - Deputy General Director of Vietnam National Shipping Lines; representatives of the Maritime Administration, Nghe An Enterprises Party Committee, provincial departments and traditional trading partners.
In 2011, Nghe Tinh Port One Member Co., Ltd. focused on investing, improving loading and unloading capacity and service quality, exceeding economic targets. During the year, the port welcomed more than 1,000 ships receiving and delivering goods with cargo throughput reaching more than 1.8 million tons, up 12.5% over the same period in 2010. Revenue was more than 93 billion VND, up 36.7% over 2010; average income of workers reached 4.5 million VND/person/month. The port organized cargo loading and unloading scientifically and reasonably, released ships quickly and on schedule, gaining the trust of customers and ship owners.

In 2012, Nghe Tinh Port strives to achieve a cargo throughput of over 1.85 million tons, with revenue and employee income increasing by 5-10% compared to 2011. To achieve the above targets, Nghe Tinh Port will focus on strengthening production direction, rationally arranging human resources and equipment, saving production costs, increasing labor productivity, and quickly releasing ships; continuing to change loading and unloading technology processes and investing in additional equipment to improve production and business efficiency. In addition, the Port will implement many measures to attract customers and open more container shipping routes at Cua Lo Port.
At the ceremony to welcome the first cargo of 2012 at Cua Lo port, the Tai-Ping ship with a capacity of nearly 8,000 tons unloaded 263 containers (equivalent to 307 TEUs) and loaded 179 containers (equivalent to 212 TEUs).
