Flash flood and landslide warning in mountainous areas of Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) -According to the forecast of the Central Hydrometeorological Center, from October 11 to 11, there is a high risk of flash floods and landslides in the mountainous districts of Nghe An including: Ky Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Quy Chau, Que Phong, Quy Hop. Along with that, due to heavy rain, Vinh City is likely to be flooded.

Early this morning (October 10),Tropical depression has entered the mainland of Ha Tinh-Quang Binh provinces.
HOhi 04 hoursyeah, the center of the tropical depression is located at about 17.9 degrees North latitude; 106.4 degrees East longitude, on the mainland from Ha Tinh to Quang Binh provinces. The strongest wind in the area near the center of the tropical depression is level 6 (40-50km/hour),level 8.
Duh12 hour noticeyeahtohi, The low pressure area moved in the West-Northwest direction, traveling about 25km per hour, going deep into the mainland of Nghe An-Quang Binh provinces, then weakened into a low pressure area in the Upper Laos region. At 4:00 p.m. on October 10, the center of the low pressure area was at about 18.3 degrees North latitude; 104.1 degrees East longitude. The strongest wind in the center of the low pressure area decreased to below level 6 (below 40km/hour).
Due to the influence of the tropical depression, the sea area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri (including Con Co and Hon Ngu islands) today still has strong winds of level 6.level 8. Waves are 2-4m high, along the coast of Nghe An and Quang Binh provinces, with strong winds of level 6.level 8; Thanh Hoa and Quang Tri provinces have windjerklevel 8.Disaster risk level: level 3.
Heavy rain forecast over land:In the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri, there will be heavy to very heavy rain, with rainfall from 1:00 a.m. on October 10 to 7:00 p.m. on October 11 ranging from 100-200mm, with some places exceeding 250mm.
Flood, flash flood and landslide warning:From October 10 to October 11, a small flood with a flood amplitude of 1-3m may occur in the basins of Thao, Lo, Hoang Long rivers and the upper reaches of Thai Binh river. During this flood, the flood peak on the rivers will be below level 1, except for the flood peak on Thao river in Yen Bai which is likely to be close to level 1.
There is a high risk of flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas, localized flooding in low-lying areas in the northern mountainous provinces such as Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Son La, Hoa Binh and provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue. Especially in Nghe An: Ky Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Quy Chau, Que Phong, Quy Hop districts.
Flooding is likely to occur in urban areas and large cities such as: Thai Nguyen, Hanoi, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa City, Vinh City (Nghe An), Ky Anh Town, Ha Tinh City (Ha Tinh), Ba Don Town, Dong Hoi City (Quang Binh).
